Undergraduate Mathematics Degree Options & Tracks
As a student in our mathematics program, you’ll learn to analyze and visualize data, discover patterns and reason logically. Our curriculum incorporates a variety of different learning formats, from lectures to programming practices in a computer lab and individualized research studies. In addition to two undergraduate degree options, we also offer an accelerated dual degree and a joint degree option with Columbia University.
Bachelor of Arts (BA)
Gain a broad understanding of mathematics with a strong liberal arts foundation. This program is ideal for students interested in math education.
Bachelor of Science (BS)
Develop expertise in several branches of math, then customize your experience with a set of electives. This program is ideal for students interested in an advanced degree or professional work.
4+1: BS in Mathematics/MS in Applied Mathematics and Statistics
Graduate with two highly marketable degrees in just five years—and be able to list work experience and a valuable internship on your résumé. Actuarial Sciences Minor
The actuarial sciences minor provides the theoretical foundations for students interested in a career in the actuarial sciences.
The minor in mathematics is designed to give students a solid foundation in math as well as some experience in the discipline at an advanced level.
Statistics and Data Analytics Minor
This minor provides both the theoretical and applied foundation for students interested in a career in either statistics and/or data analytics.
