Campus Life

All participants will live on our exquisite suburban campus in Garden City, New York. All Pre-College Program students reside in Residence Hall A. Meals are served a la carte at our fantastic University Center Café, which boasts a grill, pizza and sandwich station, a full salad bar, and a variety of daily offerings.

Throughout the duration of the program, students will be supervised by Peer Assistants in the residence halls, as well as faculty in all academic settings. Students will have the opportunity to partake in a variety of social and recreational activities, planned by our professional staff. Our goal is to ensure safety and a positive experience that is both fun and academic in nature.

Material will be taught at the college level, providing challenging, insightful discussions through each course, as well as a glimpse of college-level work for each participant. Faculty members will be available to assist in maximizing the academic experience for each topic.

Classes typically run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day with an hour set aside for lunch. Class hours include lecture, discussion, hands-on experiences and off-campus excursions when applicable.

In previous years, students have toured NYC, visited Luna Park at Coney Island, and seen Broadway shows. You can also expect to go on field trips with your class to meet with experts in the field! Some of these trips have included visits to start-up companies, hospitals, museums, and even the United Nations!

One of the joys of college life is learning to do laundry! Free laundry machines can be found on each floor of the residence hall.
